    Do you supply model answers?

We don’t, for a number of reasons. Firstly, all questions are based on a set text and the text will contain all of the information you will need. Secondly, with examinations being held four times each year, in up to 200 subject areas, it would be almost impossible to produce 6,400 answers each year!

However, past papers, for your revision purposes, are available in the ‘Study Centre’ section for the previous four examination series.

Can I claim any subject exemptions?

It is possible, if you hold any recognised Award from another recognised Professional or Examining Board. The Exemptions Committee would require the following documentation before processing an application from you:

Photocopies of all certificates awarded, together with certified copies of your results. In some cases, you may be required to submit a copy of the syllabus for the Award you hold.

Upon receipt of your application, your request would be assessed. As soon as the Exemptions Committee have made a decision you will be advised in writing. You should always enclose a covering letter with your documentation and ensure that you have provided us with your current postal address.

What are the rules about Home Study, Distance Learning and Correspondence Courses?

Although ICM does not offer or provide materials for those wishing to study at Home or by Distance Learning or Correspondence there are many well known and established providers. ICM welcomes Examination Entries from those studying by any one of the above methods.

It is not necessary to locate a provider of material dedicated to the ICM Examinations. The reason for this is that regardless of the Examining/Awarding body, the content and structure of most business studies subject syllabuses are very similar. This means that all good study material is likely to cover the majority of the knowledge required by the ICM Subject Examiners.

If fitting in time to study is proving difficult, why not study for one of ICM’s Single Subject Diplomas? Theses are particularly suitable for mature students and those in employment whose time and work commitments make it impossible for them to study on anything other than a part-time or evening basis.
